The Problem
One of the major challenges associated with CRM or SRM software such as Borealis is laborious data entry, particularly in the initial phase. Users follow a time-consuming and repetitive sequence to integrate information.
This process involves :
- Initiating the process of creating an individual within the platform
- Accessing a contact's website (e.g. on LinkedIn)
- Copy first name, last name, title, contact details, photo, etc.
- Paste each of these items into the appropriate fields on the platform.
- Finally, submit the data.

The Solution
In a collaborative effort with the Boréalis team, we've developed an ingenious Chrome extension designed to automate manual tasks when creating individuals.
Rather than copying and pasting from different sources to compile an individual profile, our extension lets you select text, images and links directly from a web page. These elements are then analyzed using AI services such as GPT and Azure Named Entity Recognition to automatically identify relevant information and assign it to the appropriate fields on the Individual Creation form.
This approach offers many significant advantages:
- Considerable reduction in the time required to create individuals.
- Improved quality of inserted information.
- Use of a single tool for the entire process.

Named Entity Recognition + GPT
To achieve this goal, we have leveraged the capabilities of artificial intelligence, specifically Named Entity Recognition (NER), to retrieve relevant information from text and determine its nature.
From plain text, NER can automatically identify the types of information contained in the text, such as people's names, organizations, addresses, phone numbers and so on. Once this information has been identified, it is displayed in the extension's Individual creation form, where it can be edited or completed by the user as required.
We also use GPT 3 to further contextualize the data analyzed, for example to be able to match a position to an organization.
This solution gives Boréalis a real competitive edge over its competitors, and contributes to enriching their offer.
